Saturday morning was another fun-filled visit to GiGi’s Playhouse, this time for Leaps and Bounds! The focus of the day was shapes—we sang songs, sorted shapes into their correct spots, and even used different shapes to create our own houses.

One of the funniest moments is always the group picture. Getting all the kids to sit in chairs and hold up their artwork at the same time? Nearly impossible! They’re all so active, and convincing them to stay still for even a few seconds is a challenge. But that’s what makes it fun!

After Leaps and Bounds wrapped up, Open Play began—meaning the play kitchen was open! Kay absolutely loves the play kitchen and spends most of her time there, either cooking up something imaginary or running back and forth to bring me food. It’s a favorite spot for so many of the kids.

Once we finished at GiGi’s, Kay and I grabbed her favorite meal—chicken and fries—for lunch. The rest of the day was all about relaxing at home, watching movies, and unwinding. We’ve been keeping busy lately, and I always try to find activities and events that Kay will enjoy because being cooped up at home all the time just isn’t as fun.

We’ve got a few more exciting things coming up to close out the month—stay tuned!
