This weekend brought a delightful experience as Kay, my parents, and I indulged in a pancake breakfast with princesses, courtesy of the annual event organized by Down Syndrome Connections, a local organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome.

It’s heartening to have various organizations providing opportunities for our kids to attend such fantastic events. The added joy of catching up with friends makes these occasions even more special.

Seated together to savor a breakfast spread featuring pancakes, eggs, and sausage, our gathering was graced by visits from several princesses and even the mascot of our local minor league baseball team. How cool is that?

The highlight for Kay was the chance to see a variety of characters and princesses, including a surprise appearance by Elsa – a familiar face from Kay’s birthday party. Elsa, (dressed as Cinderella for this event) thrilled to see Kay, took her aside, proudly introducing her to all her princess friends who had gathered at the pancake breakfast. The magic of the moment made the event truly unforgettable.
