Kay completed her last full day of ABA before starting kindergarten, and I don’t think I’m fully ready for this next chapter.
With Kay starting school full time, her ABA schedule is going to look a little different. Instead of attending full days, she will continue going three days a week for three hours. It feels like the right balance for her as we navigate this big transition into kindergarten. I want to make sure Kay isn’t overwhelmed or overworked while adjusting to a new school routine, but I also want to continue something that has truly helped her grow, learn, and gain new skills over these past several months.
I truly could not have found a better place or a better team to walk alongside Kay. They don’t just work with her, they know her. They love her, celebrate every milestone with me, and cheer her on with so much pride and support. They have been there through the little victories, the big breakthroughs, and everything in between.
Kay absolutely loves going to ABA, and I know she is going to miss spending more time there every day. She has built such special relationships with everyone there, and they have become such an important part of her life. But I’m so grateful she will still get to see everyone, continue learning, and of course have plenty of fun while she’s there.
Watching Kay grow has been such an incredible journey. Seeing how far she has come and knowing she has people around her who believe in her means more than I could ever put into words.
