My parents organized a street potluck with some of our neighbors from around the area. Dad smoked pulled pork while Mom prepared a variety of sides. We set up tables and chairs, and as our neighbors arrived, they pitched in, helping arrange seating and placing dishes on the table.

More neighbors soon joined in, bringing their own culinary creations or store-bought treats. We all filled our plates, relishing the array of options. As we enjoyed the feast, we gathered on the street, engaging in lively conversation and praising the delicious food.

What we thought would be a brief gathering stretched into a delightful evening that lasted until nearly 10pm! It was a fantastic turnout and a real crowd-pleaser, making all the effort worthwhile. While it was our first time organizing such an event, I have a feeling it won’t be the last!
