A month ago, I came across a post from GiGi’s Playhouse Las Vegas asking for volunteers to share their stories for a chance to be featured in a video at this year’s gala in September. The theme is “I Have a Voice.” Eager to participate, I wrote in, sharing a brief part of my story and hoping to be one of the lucky ones chosen—and I was!

The next step was a Zoom call with the videographer to discuss what I wanted to talk about in the video. This preparation was essential to ensure that everything was set up correctly so the filming day would go as smoothly as possible.

After some time, I was contacted with the date and time to report to GiGi’s Playhouse for filming! I carefully picked out my outfit and, when the day arrived, I went to GiGi’s Playhouse, where the camera and chair were set up for my interview. We covered topics that were deeply emotional and heartfelt, and it was only natural that I shed a few tears.

I am forever grateful to GiGi’s Playhouse for presenting such amazing opportunities! I am always eager to reach out to the community and share my story, highlighting why Kay and all her peers are so incredible. Now, I patiently await the gala, where I will see the official video along with everyone else in attendance.
