Another weekend means another T-ball game for Kay! We’re on to the second game of the season, and the heat is still relentless. Saturday’s game was a bit quicker since we were missing a few team members—understandable given the hot weather.
Watching Kay play and have fun is such a joy, especially when she goes out on the field with a buddy. We have volunteers who help take her out, so I can enjoy watching from the dugout while capturing photos and videos. I always make sure to let them know that Kay is quick to run in the opposite direction and might need a little hand-holding or guidance. Lol.
I’m so excited that Kay is showing more interest in hitting the ball on her own this season—she seems even more enthusiastic than before! I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a wonderful organization that offers such inclusive opportunities for everyone in the disability community.
