T-Ball season is here again, and we could not be more excited! This year Maeve joined us for the fun, and I was curious to see how she would handle the experience. T-Ball can be a very busy and sometimes chaotic environment, especially on opening day. Families pack the stands to cheer on their players, the smell of grilled food fills the air, and there is no shortage of noise, excitement, and even other dogs. Maeve handled it all beautifully. She stayed calm, focused, and showed once again what a wonderful working partner she is.

The kids were thrilled to see Maeve at the field. With a few reminders that she was there to work, they did a great job giving her space so she could stay on task. I know how tempting it is to pet a sweet and friendly dog, but service dogs have an important job to do. Interrupting them can mean missing an alert, which is why it is so important that they remain focused. I was proud of both Maeve and the kids for how well it went.

The weather was warm but not unbearable, which can be a rare treat at the end of September. Kay’s team also has new coaches this season who already seem kind, enthusiastic, and ready to make it memorable. For the next several weeks, our Saturdays are now happily reserved for T-Ball, and I would not have it any other way.

One of the things I love most about Miracle League is how truly inclusive it is. Everyone is welcome, supported, and celebrated. It is such a joy to spend time in a space where every child can participate and shine. We are looking forward to another season filled with laughter, teamwork, and special moments with our friends.
