Leaps and Bounds is a program that is offered GiGi’s Playhouse that runs every other week. Kay absolutely loves it, and we both always have so much fun. This week’s theme was “Under the Sea.” The kids made their own jellyfish crafts, complete with googly eyes. Kay loves anything involving coloring, though it seemed like her arms, hands, and mouth got more of the marker ink than her jellyfish craft did!
We danced, sang songs, played games, acted silly, and brought out the infamous parachute, which is always a big hit!
The turnout was wonderful. The room was filled with laughter and pure joy. We only have one session left for the summer program, and then it will start up again in the fall on a different day.
Volunteering for such an incredible non-profit gives me a sense of fulfillment I never knew I needed.
