We recently attended GiGi’s Playhouse Christmas party, which is always such a fun and festive night for our family. It’s one of those events we look forward to every year, wearing our Christmas sweaters, soaking in the holiday spirit, and of course getting pictures with Santa, which Kay always loves.
Kay had everyone laughing with her dance moves almost as soon as we arrived. Music has always been her thing, and she’s constantly looking for an excuse to dance, so she was absolutely in her element that night. Watching her light up, completely unbothered and fully herself, is one of my favorite things. Her brief visit with Santa brightened her spirits even more, and we ended up with the cutest pictures. Both the professional ones and a few I snapped myself that perfectly captured her joy.
The rest of the evening was spent eating pizza, snacking on cookies, enjoying the company of friends, and dancing the night away. Events like this are such a reminder of how special the GiGi’s Playhouse community is. A place where everyone is welcomed, celebrated, and free to just be themselves.
As many of you know, Kay can be pretty outgoing, so parties are right up her alley. Seeing her so comfortable, confident, and surrounded by people who genuinely care about her fills my heart in a way that’s hard to put into words. Nights like these may seem simple, but they mean so much more to us, and we’re so grateful for moments that feel joyful, easy, and full of connection.
