Sunday was a special day because Kay got to visit Santa again! We attended the annual Coco with Santa event at our favorite inclusive coffee shop, Dig It Coffee. This event has been part of our holiday traditions since it first started three years ago, and we look forward to it every year.
One of the things I love most about Dig It is how welcoming and warm the space feels. It’s a place where I never have to worry if Kay is a little loud or not in the best mood—everyone is always so kind and understanding.
This year’s event included a fun little twist: a gingerbread house kit, along with a Dig It donut and a choice of hot cocoa or a latte. I opted for a vanilla latte since Kay isn’t really into hot cocoa.
We enjoyed visiting with friends, snapped some cute photos with Santa, and soaked up the cheerful environment. We decided to take our gingerbread house kit to-go, thinking it would be fun to build it together later that day. Well… let’s just say it didn’t go as planned! Kay wasn’t too keen on the amount of patience it required, and as I was doing my best to hold the house together, Kay decided to “help”—and the whole thing collapsed. Oops! Maybe next year we’ll have better luck building a gingerbread house?
For now, we’ll chalk it up to a fun memory and another great day spent at Dig It Coffee!
