Kay and I recently joined our first Music Makers session at GiGi’s Playhouse, and it was such a hit! The program is new, with only a few sessions so far, and I had a good feeling Kay would love it—she’s all about music!

This week’s theme was Halloween, making it even more exciting. We played games with different instruments, some requiring turn-taking (a skill we’re still working on, haha), and danced to “Spooky, Scary Skeletons” with glow sticks! Kay was completely in her element, having an absolute blast!

The grand finale was Kay’s favorite—the parachute! She loves when programs end with music and the giant parachute. Instead of running or sitting underneath it, she prefers to hold onto the edge and help lift it up and down with everyone else.

What’s great about Music Makers is that it’s open to kids of all ages, so there was a fantastic mix of everyone enjoying the night together. Kay and I are already looking forward to our next Music Makers session!
