September has been a busy month for our little family, and somehow, I’m sitting here wondering how we’re already at the end of it! This month has been a mix of new routines, big adventures, and lots of the everyday little moments that make up life with Kay.

We’re officially over a month into kindergarten now, and it’s starting to feel a little less like the brand-new experience it was in August and a little more like our normal routine. There have definitely been some adjustments along the way, and still are, but it has been fun watching Kay settle into her school routine and continue getting comfortable with her new surroundings.

Of course, September also brought one of our biggest adventures of the year when we headed to New York City for the NDSS Times Square Video Presentation and Buddy Walk. Getting to see Kay’s photo up in Times Square was such a special experience, and it’s definitely something we’ll remember for a long time. We were so grateful for everyone who helped make that trip possible and supported Kay’s Krew along the way.

Now that we’re home and back into our regular routine, fall activities are officially underway too! Kay started her fall T-Ball season this month, and opening day was just as fun and exciting as always. The weather is finally starting to cool down a little bit, which makes being outside for games (and outside in general LOL) even better.

Between school, ABA, OT, T-Ball, and everything else that fills our weeks, life has definitely been busy. But in between all of that are the little moments that don’t necessarily make it into their own blog post. The funny things Kay says and does, the things she’s currently obsessed with, watching her learn new things, and just getting to see her personality shine through more and more as she grows.

September may not have been quite as quiet as we thought it would be, but it was a good month. We’re getting settled into a new routine, enjoying the beginning of fall, and looking forward to everything the next few months have in store for us.
